Surfing has always been one of Lorenz Bäumer's passions, which is how he discovered the island of Sumba in Indonesia in 2003. Beyond the splendor of the landscapes, he was immediately drawn to the smiles of the children who welcomed him. These radiant faces, despite difficult living conditions, never left him.
According to Lorenz Bäumer, “Every child, no matter where they live, represents the future of our planet, and all deserve to grow up in the best conditions to be actors in tomorrow's world.” This is a cause that deeply touches him personally, as a global citizen and as a father. He therefore wanted to commit to the future of children by supporting them in their academic journeys.
Through a close collaboration with the Sumba Foundation, whose main mission is to facilitate the lives of Indonesians on the island of Sumba while respecting their culture and traditions, Maison Bäumer supports access to education for children on the island.
