Surfing has always been one of Lorenz Bäumer's passions, which is how he discovered the island of Sumba in Indonesia in 2003. Beyond the splendor of the landscapes, he was immediately drawn to the smiles of the children who welcomed him. These radiant faces despite difficult living conditions have never left him.
According to Lorenz Bäumer, "Every child, wherever they live, represents the future of our planet, and all deserve to grow up in the best conditions to be actors of tomorrow's world." It is a cause that touches him very personally as a citizen of the world but also as a father. He therefore wished to commit himself to the future of children by supporting them in their educational journeys.
Thanks to a close collaboration with the Sumba Foundation, whose main mission is to improve the lives of the Indonesians on the island of Sumba while respecting their culture and traditions, Maison Bäumer supports access to education for the island's children.
